Dear Parents,

It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to the Appletree Montessori School.

 

The first “Appletree” School was opened in 1979 on Blake Lane in Fairfax, Virginia, by my grandparents. In 1985, my mother, Annely Carver, opened the Appletree II School in Vienna, Virginia, where she is currently the owner, director, and music teacher. In 2008, I discovered and fell in love with the teachings and philosophy of the Montessori Method. I obtained my AMS (American Montessori Society) Certification from the Northern Virginia Montessori Institute while also interning at the Montessori School of Mclean, Virginia. Since completion of the AMS Certification, I have taught at Cornerstone Montessori School in Golden, Colorado, and Children’s House Montessori School in Reston, Virginia. In 2013, I opened the Appletree Montessori School here in Fairfax, Virginia. We are thrilled to be celebrating ten years this 2023/2024 school year!

 

It is my passion to create a beautiful, inviting, cozy, and nurturing environment, and to teach children about the amazing world around them, while also preparing each and every child to be well prepared for kindergarten.
